Our 3-4 year Saturday group is proving very popular
We have seen lots of new faces join us over the first few months of the year, especially within our 3 - 4 year Saturday group. It seems that our 3 - 4 year Saturday group is in demand and is nearly fully booked, with only three spaces left and multiple trial’s booked in over the next few weeks. However, our sessions are suitable for all children aged between 3 - 10 years and we adapt our delivery to meet the demands and musical energy of different age groups, abilities and needs.
Shortlisted as a South East regional finalist for the Innovative Start Up of the Year Award
We are proud and humbled to have been shortlisted as a regional finalist for the South East regions Innovative Start Up of the Year, as part of the UK Start Up Awards.
Fingers crossed we will be chosen as the regions winner and go onto the national finals. However, even if we are not, we are extremely happy that our unique approach and the positive impact of using music within children’s activities can have is getting the recognition it deserves.
Well done to everyone involved in the club for this recognition and fingers crossed for the regional awards in June.
Our school services programme is growing and making a positive impact
We are happy with our ever growing school services programme and we have managed to collaborate with multiple schools throughout Milton Keynes over the last few months. We have delivered FREE taster sessions to three different schools, resulting in one new contract during the Summer April - July term for students in years one and two. The other two schools would like to discuss contracts during the term, with the potential to start delivery from September. Additionally, we are in talks with three other schools who would like us to deliver FREE taster sessions for them during the Summer term, so exciting times ahead.
Supporting Nurseries and Primary Schools throughout Milton Keynes, Bedford and surrounding areas with their PE and activity needs is a huge priority for F2M. Not only does it allow us to support the schools and teachers in their physical activity and mental health missions, but it also allows us to connect with and positively impact many more children. For any nurseries and schools wishing to explore our school services programme and book in a FREE taster session, please complete a school enquiry form and register your interest. We will contact you with 24 hours.
Raising money for our 2025 club charity Nordoff and Robbins
In 2025, our charity of the year is Nordoff and Robbins. They are the UK’s largest music therapy charity, supporting those with life-limiting illnesses, people with additional support needs and those living within social isolation. Our first opportunity to raise money for them in 2025 was during our Easter mini matchplay session. We delivered multiple mini matches during our usual 10:30am - 11:30am Saturday session and opened up the session to allow children aged 5 - 10 years who do not usually play with us to also come along and join us for the day. The only request that we had for their attendance was a small £2 donation. Combining what we raised from parents on the day with F2M’s promise of £2 for every child that attended, we were able to raise a total of £50.
The biggest benefit of delivering a day like this was obviously to raise money for such a great charity. One that provides a support service that shares our passion for music and recognises its many benefits through a unique approach. However, additionally it provides us with the opportunity to observe our players within different matchplay situations and measure their holistic development. Learn more about how we effectively introduce and develop young players (5-10 years) within match play. Our plan is to host a mini match play special session three or four times throughout the year, each time raising money for our charity of the year.
Thank you to everyone who attended and we hope to see you (and more) at the next event.
