Creating the right environment with music and the impact it has on more children being physically active

Incorporating high tempo and upbeat music into children's activity and sports sessions can significantly enhance the environment and experience for young players. The vibrant audio backdrop not only energises the atmosphere but also fosters a positive mindset among each child. Music has a unique ability to uplift spirits and instil enthusiasm, which is essential in a setting focused on physical activity. At Football 2 Music we really lean into this and try to create the best possible environment.

When children are surrounded by lively tunes, they are more likely to engage fully with the training. The rhythm and pace can encourage them to move more freely and partake in activities with greater enthusiasm. This stimulation can also reduce any anxious or nerves feelings they might have about participating, creating a more enjoyable and less intimidating experience.

In addition, the presence of engaging music can attract children who may not typically show interest in sports (in our case football). It provides an inclusive environment that appeals to a broader range of interests, allowing those who might usually shy away from sport to feel more comfortable and willing to join in. This inclusivity can encourage children to step out of their comfort zones, leading to an increase in overall participation rates within the session and physical activity overall.

Furthermore, establishing a fun and upbeat atmosphere can have a positive impact on children's confidence levels. As they respond to the music and engage with their peers, they are likely to feel more assured in their skills and abilities. Celebrating achievements, whether big or small, in a dynamic setting can motivate children to embrace challenges, be more creative and push their limits.

Overall, the strategic use of high tempo and upbeat music during sports (football) training not only creates a lively and encouraging environment but also nurtures confidence and promotes inclusivity. This approach contributes to a positive experience, fostering a love for physical activity that can continue beyond one session.

Now, combining all of the above benefits of music with our core coaching principles and challenges, is what guides our session delivery and contributes to the Football 2 Music unique style of coaching. This also helps us to create the best possible learning experience and environment for children and ensures we are offering a high quality level of coaching and service.
